After a successful evaluation, THERMI S.A. proudly announces its participation in the approved for granting H2020 project under the title “Media Motor Europe” in the context of the “ICT-33-2019” call for Innovation Actions on behalf of “Startup Europe for Growth” and “Innovation Radar” European initiatives.
“Media Motor Europe” involves a partnership consisting of entities from 6 European countries and aims at boosting solutions that can address European media sector’s challenges such as misinformation, accessibility, user interfaces and use of data.
Its consortium includes two media hubs (De Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie nv (Βelgium) and Media City Bergen AS (Νorway)), two innovation hubs (THERMI S.A.-Business Incubator (Greece) and Knowledge City Sofia (Bulgaria)), one VC entity (Fast Track (Portugal)), one global entrepreneurial support network (F6S (Ireland)) and a private ICT research entity (Athens Technology Center (Greece)).
The goal of the project is to nurture high-potential European deep tech innovators, solving today´s most prominent media industry challenges and support them in building the media solutions of tomorrow. In this context, THERMI S.A. will choose Startups and Scaleups owing applications at the stage of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and preferably integrating technologies such as AI, Maching Learning and Blockchain among others. The selected entities will benefit from support services, including networking and mentoring in order to capture their first international leads and leverage their investment readiness. The services will be offered under three consecutive acceleration cycles and the selected participants will have the opportunity to benefit from special awards, access to the most prominent international business events of the media sector and pitching to international investors.
